In 2002, Summit Church opened its doors for the first time at the Aloma Cinema Grill in Winter Park, FL. Our church would quickly become known for teaching truth and serving the local community through initiatives like church-wide service days and supporting local non-profits, and by God’s grace, the Summit family would grow.

We’d eventually open our first permanent campus in an old movie theater on Herndon Avenue, close to downtown Orlando, and start new ministries that would become synonymous with who we are as a church like reGROUP, our recovery ministry. The need for more space combined with the desire to invite family, neighbors, and friends would soon inspire us to begin a multisite strategy in 2010, introducing new expressions of Summit.

Today, we have two permanent spaces in Summit Orlando and Summit Lake Mary that serve as ministry hubs throughout the week. We also offer an online service that helps people connect in worship before they have a chance to walk through our doors. 

Service has continued to be a priority as well. In recent years, we’ve taken on the challenge of supporting vulnerable children in the Central Florida area by supporting foster families and local schools through creating support networks to love and serve our community. We also support ministry partners locally and globally doing important work in our world.

We pray God will continue to bless us as we continue to be a church that inspires people to find and follow the way of Jesus!
