Leadership & Staff

Executive Leadership Team

Our leadership team is made up of staff members who are responsible for leading the church and ministries according to the pattern laid out by God in the Bible.

Pastoral Oversight Team

This team is Summit’s closest equivalent to elders in other denominations, providing spiritual and strategic direction, guiding what faithfulness looks like in our context, and weighing in on doctrinal decisions. Modeled after the early church in Acts, they offer diverse biblical perspectives and help our church prayerfully take the next right step at each location.

Governing Board

This team is made up of non-staff Summit partners and Summit pastors who are seasoned and godly leaders. They serve a vital role in providing fiduciary oversight and counsel on important decisions, ensuring Summit’s mission, vision, and doctrine are upheld. They also support the pastoral staff in their pursuit of leading and loving like Jesus. Legally and spiritually responsible for the health of our church, their one employee is the Lead Pastor—whom they hire, evaluate, and support.

Children’s Ministry

Also known as our Base Camp team, these folks are dedicated to communicating week in and week out to your kids that God loves them and that he has big plans for their lives.

Hospitality

Certified friendly, they’re responsible for making sure everyone who walks through the doors here feels welcome. They do that by overseeing the volunteers that create your first impression of Summit.

Adult Ministry

They help our congregation by creating community-focused environments, where people can grow in the knowledge and character of Christ together.

Local & Global Ministry

This team strives to care well for those in need and to build relationships with organizations worldwide that share a vision for ending injustices.

Communications

This creative crew makes sure the Summit community has everything they need to live out Summit’s vision—from finding all the details for services, events, and their next steps to hearing stories of God at work, experiencing the beauty he created, and accessing resources to learn about and worship him.

Worship

This talented bunch plans the weekly services, ensuring that all elements are cohesive, purposeful, and engaging for the congregation—in addition to heading up an incredibly talented team of volunteer musicians and audio/visual technicians.

Operations

These folks handle accounting, bookkeeping, facilities management, human resources, office administration, IT, and more—basically the Summit offices wouldn’t run without this behind-the-scenes team.
