Summit Lake Mary was born out of the idea of being able to invite more friends and neighbors on the north side of Central Florida. In 2011, our first meeting was in Lake Mary High School (Go Rams!), and now in our permanent space off Technology Parkway, we continue in the same spirit, helping people find and follow the way of Jesus.

We’d be happy to answer any questions you have about what (or, more importantly, who) we’re all about, and we want you to know that whatever brought you to Summit, you’re welcome here!

FAQ

  • Summit is an interdenominational church. Similar to a non-denominational church, we are not affiliated with any particular denomination, yet we stand in unity with the numerous denominations that cling to the basic tenets of Christianity. Whether you find yourself unsure about who Jesus is and why that matters, ready to jump right into worship and community alongside us, or somewhere in between—you are welcome here.

Our rotating team of teachers offers the ability to hear the same biblical truths from multiple perspectives. Once a month, we also hear from one of the teachers at the Summit Orlando location via video.

Worship is often a mix of updated hymns and contemporary worship music, and coffee is always readily available in the Lobby. Feel free to grab a cup and bring it into service.

  • Most of us dress casually. Wear what’s comfortable for you!

  • Our children’s ministry is called Base Camp, and it’s a super fun place where your kids can learn that they matter to God! Base Camp is for kids aged 3 months through 5th grade. If it’s your child’s first time in Base Camp, stop by the First-Time Kids Check-in—you’ll see our desk just to your left when you walk in the front doors. Let us know a little about your family and how we can best serve you!

    LEARN MORE

  • Middle and High schoolers join us in service on Sunday mornings. Student Listening guides are available at the sanctuary doors and are a great tool to help students dive deeper into each sermon.

Our middle and high schoolers also have their own time to learn and build community together. Surge (middle school) meets on Sunday afternoons at 4 p.m. and Edge (high school) meets at 6:30 p.m.
