Riverside Neighborhood Church

Riverside Neighborhood Church is a new expression of Summit meeting at Riverside Acres Park in Lockhart, FL. We may do church a little differently than other campuses, but we believe these differences provide us with unique opportunities to serve our local school and neighbors by bringing church closer to home.

We’d be happy to answer any questions you have about what (or, more importantly, who) we’re all about, and we want you to know that whatever brought you to Summit, you’re welcome here!

FAQ

  • Summit is an interdenominational church. Similar to a non-denominational church, we are not affiliated with any particular denomination, yet we stand in unity with the numerous denominations that cling to the basic tenets of Christianity. Whether you find yourself unsure about who Jesus is and why that matters, ready to jump right into worship and community alongside us, or somewhere in between—you are welcome here.

We follow the same teaching calendar as other Summit locations, and though we typically hear from Riverside Minister Doug Foley, Summit’s rotation of speakers occasionally visits. It’s a relaxed atmosphere, shaded from the Florida sun. Part of our charm is that each Sunday service includes time to get to know one another and discuss what we’ve learned in small groups after service.

  • We meet in the pavilion on the west end of the park, near the big field. We always have orange Summit flags out, so you won’t miss us!

  • Most of us dress casually. Wear what’s comfortable for you! …But keep in mind we meet outside!

  • Being that our location and services are more laid back, we do not have a full-fledged Base Camp offering at Riverside. We do, however, have separate activities for kids, and different families within our community share the responsibility of leading this time.
