Hurricane Helene | Relief Efforts

If you’ve been watching the news or paying attention to social media, you’ve likely seen some of the tragic images coming out of the southeast in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Many in our congregation have family and friends affected and our hearts are grieved over the scenes that continue to come out of the Florida Gulf and southern Appalachia regions.

There are two ways we can be a part of the relief efforts for those affected by Helene: by donating and by praying. Below, you’ll find ways you can do both.

Donate:

Convoy of Hope

This organization is actively delivering truckloads of food, water, hygiene kits, and cleanup supplies to the hardest-hit regions, including Florida’s Big Bend, Tampa Bay, Georgia, and North Carolina. Together, we can provide much-needed relief to those impacted by this catastrophe.

Pray:

  1. Pray for Safety and Provision

Ask God to provide protection, shelter, food, and clean water to those displaced by the storm.

  2. Pray for Comfort

Lift up families who have lost loved ones or homes, asking for peace and emotional healing.

  3. Pray for Relief Workers

Pray for strength and wisdom for those delivering aid and for their safety as they work in challenging conditions.

  4. Pray for Recovery

Ask for restoration of homes, communities, and livelihoods in the aftermath of the disaster.

Remember that God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). Even in the aftermath of disaster, we see communities rise, neighbors helping neighbors, and the outpouring of love from people across the country. God’s light shines brightest in the darkest moments, reminding us that hope is never lost.
