Serve Globally
We partner with organizations around the world doing God-honoring work, caring specifically for vulnerable children and families.
WHY WE SERVE
From day one, we’ve felt a calling to make the most of our time and place in history through service not just locally but globally. Early on, we saw the need to support vulnerable communities in sub-Saharan Africa impacted by the HIV/AIDS epidemic. Now that strides have been made in the fight against the disease, we’ve continued to follow this calling through our partnerships with organizations, churches, and missionaries focused on the most vulnerable in our global society.
HOW WE SERVE
Being cultural outsiders, we know we’re not experts and recognize the potential for unintentional harm. This is why our strategy hasn’t been to start brand new poverty-alleviation initiatives but rather to partner, in humility, with local leaders already doing God-honoring work in their own communities. Our goal is to learn and support these organizations in mutually beneficial partnerships to determine which goals we can accomplish better together.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Sponsorship
Our long-standing partnership with Children’s HopeChest offers opportunities to sponsor children in several countries around the world. Through sponsoring, one gets the opportunity to communicate with a specific child and financially support their direct environmental, educational, emotional, and medical needs.

WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Join a Team
Multiple times a year, we send teams to join in the work happening in multiple countries in Africa and in the Dominican Republic. Team members commit to learning from local leaders about a new culture and how they can join to help care for vulnerable children and families. Each team aligns their purpose with work already happening in-country with hope of continuing to strengthen and empower the local community.
WAYS TO GET INVOLVED
Hosting
A few times each year, Summit is able to temporarily host students, pastors, church staff, and missionary families from abroad. We enjoy the opportunity to host them well, which often includes them staying in the homes of Summit folks when possible. Many types of hosting opportunities exist—from housing to transportation to hosting meals. Duration of hosting can be anywhere from a few days to a few months. If you’re interested in hosting one of our international guests or otherwise helping with their stay, email our Global Team for more details.
